Technical Overview

With over 10 years of experience in zebrafish genetic editing technology, HunterBio provides streamlined, systematic, and modular comprehensive technical services for various research scenarios. We have successfully generated over 500 genetically edited strains, tested over 2000 gRNA targets, and provided professional genetic editing services including gene knockdown, knockout, knock-in, transgenesis, overexpression, and point mutation to more than 200 institutions.

Service Offerings

Gene Knockdown

Using antisense oligonucleotides (Morpholinos) to specifically block mRNA translation or correct splicing, thereby reducing gene expression levels. This is used for gene function studies during early embryonic development.

Using CRISPR/Cas9 technology to specifically and transiently disrupt the coding sequence of a gene, thereby reducing the expression levels of gene products for studying gene function at various stages.

Gene Knockout

Disrupting the normal expression of a gene, primarily used for studying gene function in animal models.

Gene Knock-in

Site-specific insertion of exogenous DNA fragments for precise expression patterns of labeled genes, disrupting the normal expression of a gene, generating point mutations, and achieving temporal and spatial control of gene expression, etc.

Transgenic Strain Construction

Random integration of exogenous genes into the zebrafish genome, which, with known promoter information, can be used for labeling specific organs and cells, indicating the expression patterns of specific genes, and regulating the expression and functional levels of specific genes.

Technical Services

Zebrafish research project design, zebrafish phenotype analysis, disease model preparation, in vivo imaging and analysis, high-throughput sequencing and analysis, routine molecular biochemistry experiments, immunoprecipitation, RNA immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence staining, efficacy testing, xenotransplantation models, as well as whole-mount in situ hybridization, etc.

Zebrafish Genetic Editing Strains

The company has developed over 500 genetically edited strains and currently offers over 100 commonly used strains.
